Wood is a raw material of plant origin. It is made up of cellulose fibers, a substance that constitutes the skeleton of plants, and lignin, a substance that provides rigidity and hardness.

Paper is made from fibers, which can come from wood, straw or other sources, are ground, bleached and dissolved in water. Then a drying and hardening process is carried out using different mechanisms.
